Man, had an idea to make a game eerily similiar to this the other day! Liked the real good graphics, fun cop jokes and zippy movement. I'll be sure to keep a look out for a full release.
Download the ZIP and extract it. Then go into the Delta-Gal-MacOSX folder it created. Right click on MaxOSX_Delta-Gal_demo.app and click on Show package contents. Open the Contents folder, then open the Mac OS folder.
Open Terminal, type chmod +x, press space, then drag Delta-Gal into your terminal. You should have something like
Press enter. If all goes well, you should now be able to launch the app. If you get an error, try adding sudo in front of chmod. It would look something like this.
Running sudo will require you to enter an administrator password.
If you get the error "MaxOSX_Delta-Gal_demo" cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer, right click on the app and press open. The warning will pop up again, but this time, you can select to open it or cancel it. Click open, and you should be in the game! Enjoy. :)
i'm glad i got to explore the old version that just got released since the demo itself was so awsome: doesen't have any problems running on my 2005 laptop wich is great; enjoyed every part of it from exploration to combat to the character and enemy design and interactions, not only being new and refreshing but also very solid.
The best part imo was the movement, it jus feels so good. it took a few minutes to really get it but when i did it felt incredibly fluid.
in a few words, i loved the game and everything about it. I hope you're doing great and that you consider how much time you need to expand the game... and take triple.
Have you got a patreon page or anywhere we can support you? Also, how did you get the sound effects for your game? Did you make them yourself or get them from somewhere?

So excited to see the full release of this. The controls feel great and the new mobility options are a great improvement from the original Legends formula.
I don't know how it passed me by, but I still played. And I'm thrilled! This is definitely the game I'll be waiting for! Thank you, the demo was extremely pleasant and interesting. :)
Being a demo the game is still quite good, the enemies dont seem that hard but if you dont pay attention they can still kill you pretty easy, the boss enemies are quite hard but not unfair making this game quite balanced, now the sprint mechanic being tied to the dash is for me a downside as it makes movement much more harder than it needs to be but other than that the game is super good.

I somehow hadn't seen this demo until recently but I'm so glad I checked it out. It was right up my alley with the platforming and shooter aspects both being fun and feeling really nice to play. Hope they are still working on the final version, this was a blast to play (:

Most of the sounds come from freesound.org. I usually do a bit of editing with Audacity.
